CEO AND VISIONARY BEHIND CASTLE GROUP PROPERTIES
The Castle Group, a design and property development company was founded in 2002. It strives to build energy efficient, sustainable buildings that are sensitive to the environment and offer beautiful bespoke spaces. Castle Group identifies property opportunities and develops these properties in partnerships or as investment holding opportunities.
For over twenty years, Castle Group, under the leadership
of Dave Linder has led numerous successful development projects, including rejuvenating a number of old, established properties in Cape Town, successfully converting historic industrial buildings into modern, iconic spaces. These projects include commercial spaces of up to 60,000 meters for international clients, multi-residential complexes and individual homes. In Portugal, Castle Group successfully completed its first high-luxury Grand Algarve Hotel in 2017.
Dave’s ability to create a vision for a property, interpret trends and articulate this into a unique project has resulted in many successful building projects, a number of the
projects have been featured in architectural and design magazines.
In 2016, Dave founded the Grand House Brand with Luis Fernandes, successfully launching the Grand House & Lifestyle brand in the high-end hospitality sector. In 2019, the first Grand House opened in Portugal and has set the benchmark for luxury living in Portugal. Today there are a number of properties being considered, or already under construction, within the Grand House brand portfolio.
